I got a question I got paint chipping from around my left headlight and around the left quarter panel signal light. I have only had the car for 4 months and it was purchased from carmax with 7k miles on it(2003). Is mitsubishi responsible for this or the dealer? Both are dodging this issue, so I dont know if I should get a lawyer. I have a feeling that carmax painted the **** but I cant prove it only that there is overspray on the bumper.

I had a problem with my paint on the front bumper and hood. The paint started bubbling, peeling, and crazys ****. I cought it in the first month and took it back to the dealer and they fixed it for me. (the only time I had a good experience with mitsu and their warranty) But as far as the over spray you found, mitsu will blame it on you or car max and car max will blame it on you or the previous owner. Good luck trying to get it worked out.

 

The Mitsu paint is garbage. Period. Even Evo owners are begining to experience paint issues.

 

I figured that, thanks guys for the insight. I guess im just gonna keep to it till they fix it. If not I will be down their everyweekend with a bull horn yelling dont buy cars here they suck!
