Just bought a 2000 MR 4G93 engine. I,m averaging 13 ltrs per 100 klms where it should be around 6-7. Not heavy footed, just driving normally. Changed air cleaner, o2 sensor reading between .5-.7 volts so I replaced it, new plugs, cleaned injectors, but still no difference. It runs smooth and good response. Idles sweet and no soot in tail pipe. Bugger me ! I,m a mechanic and this one has me stumped. Anyone out there have any ideas ?? If not.. better to have a V8. Thanks.
