I read Andrew's question and Boe's answer then re-read Andrew's question (Yes im slow like that... ). But i couldnt help but think that what Boe described was the cutout in a STOCK metal hood rather than a CF hood Andrew was asking about. I dunno, but I may be wrong...

 

n boe described a CF cut out, that is why he said:

After cutting i lightly torch/burn the edge of the freshly cut insulation then i mask things off and just spray paint the edge black

as you wouldnt have to do that on the stock hood.

 

Just waiting on AEM to get us on dyno.
