2014 lancer GT MODS

I have a 2014 GT mannual transmission that i want to modify. First i want to do the intake swap it for a cool air and then the exaust but i think i remember reading something about swapping for a cool air that you have to change something else out so that it doesnt screw something up ? Damn it i can't remember exactly what it was, maybe someone on here knows what i am talking about lol.
Also i am curious to know if the 2014 EVO parts will line up on my GT. I wanted an EVO but due to obvious factors such as how much it cost compared to a normal GT it was the smarter choice at the time so i slowly want to try and convert my GT over. lol. I know this will require an engine swap as well as a transmission since the one the GT comes with can't handle the power but for now I'm working on the little mods that i can do. Anyone have an suggestions ? Ill post a photo of what it looks like right now completely stock...

You got a nice car. Enjoy it!
Do what mods you can and enjoy your car for what it is.
If you really try to turn it into an EVO you're going to have nothing but huge problems and waste way more time and money than its worth. Of course anything is possible with an unlimited budget, but realistically its not feasible without a huge investment that would better be spent on an actual EVO later on.

Eventually buy the EVO when you're ready. For now, enjoy your ride!

Yeah i figured thats the kind of answer i would get lol. Just wanted to see what i could really do to it for now until I'm ready to buy an evo. Im having trouble finding an exhaust that doesnt sound like a damn fart gun lol. I like the deeper tone rather than the high pitch annoying crap. I want it loud but not too loud that I'm setting off car alarms lol. I am VERY new to learning about cars so thats why i am on here. To seek advice. Thanks !!
