Price you can get for a used OZ?????
Anyone try and sell their car?? If so how much did u sell it for?? I have quite a few dings and dents the whole way around, and I'd have to put new tires on it, but other than that it's in great shape everywhere else. (It still smells new and I bought it a year and a half ago). Otherwise does anyone have any suggestions for how I can raise the value on my car (Cuz according to KBB.org (Kelly Blue Book) it's only worth 9,000 grand, and thats private party) Here comes the scary part, I bought it for 18,000 grand so I have some serious negative equity if I wanted to trade it in (The trade in price was only like 8,000 grand) HELP!!!!
I'm not sure what you could do to raise the value of your car...
I just bought my used '02 OZ Rally a few weeks ago w/ 17k miles, excellent condition except for a few minor scratches on the trunk/spoiler (which i'll be replacing anyways), and got the car for $9,998. I think Lancers resale value is just really low and there's not much you can do

Nothing you can do to increase the value, aftermarkets just dropt he value. My car is in perfect shape, a 2003, with 26,000 miles on it and I'll be lucky to get 9 grand for it. But we'll see.
They say most cars lose half their value in the first 3 years. Lancer is a little bit worse, but that's what happens with a new car. I'm in upside down, too, but I love my car and will probably keep it long after I pay it off.
i have also heard that because of mitsubishi's continuous 0% deals there cars actually lose value even faster cause a lot of people end up buying them new instead of used since it is quite affordable

That's why I bought the Lancer. I wanted a 2-3 year old Impreza, but despite that being $3-5k cheaper in vehicle price, the interest put it over the cost of a new car! So I predict the value of the Lancer will stabilize as the economy gets better, and it will no longer be cheaper to buy a new car than a used one.
Traded in my 2002 OZ with 33K on it a month ago..got $7,500 for it, and thats only because I use to work there...$7500 was the ACV...no bump in it anywhere...my friend that sold me my WRX, even discounted the thing so bad that there was no where to hide any numbers...said if I haden't been an old employee they would have offerd $6000 because of the mods
