Lancer 1.3 GLX 1998 Speedometer not working
Hello everyone,
i am in central America and recently bought this lancer year 1998, 1.3glx which was originally automatic but the transmission was damaged and they changed it to manual before i bought it.
The car is/was a total mess on the electrical side but i got most of the things working again. Now the last problem that i face is, that the speedometer is not working, when they changed the transmission,
they created several shorts and burned the power wire to the speed sensor completely, i had to open the whole wiring harness and removed it completely. I replaced also the speed sensor and the instrument cluster.
Now the problem is, when the instrument cluster is connected, i have about 9.2v on the yellow sensor signal wire. When i remove the instrument cluster, the voltage is 5v. cannot find a complete wiring diagram and there is still a little mess because almost every wire is broken and has been taped somehow with different wire colors which were not original (not by me). I already checked for shorts and everything, i cannot find any problem. Is it the ECU? (but 5v is there without instrument cluster)
If anyone has any clue or a good wiring diagram please... i know the car is old and probably not worth but things are so expensive here, cars that you would get almost for free in other countries are still selling for several thousand dollars here, its crazy.

Ok actually it seems to be correct to have +12v on the yellow wire? - there was a breakage in another cable, now the speedometer is working! But still 12V on the yellow signal wire, normally all the sensors should have 5v or am i wrong? Or is it different with some cars and older models?
