First off, Im no late model Lancer expert. I have a 2006 Lancer. But some simple ideas would be the following

• CAT back exhaust
• Lowering springs (GTWorx, Swift or Eibach)
• Wheels / tires

Doing the above will certainly begin the transformation process & give the Lancer some well needed performance help

 

Before you start, it will never be an evo! Unfortunately. I recommend coilovers, kn air intake(any well known brand). Camber bolts front and camber kit rear. With those, it will out-handle almost everything. Oh and dont forget about tires.
