2009 Lancer 2.0 CVT with only 36K miles. Maintenance Suggestions?
Hello everyone. Came here hoping to get advice on what to do with this recent purchase. It's a "grandma car". The woman who owned it was a snowbird from Canada who only drove it locally for 6 months every year when she'd come down to Florida. The other six months it sat in a condo parking garage until the next winter. That's why only 36K miles in 15 years. Paint and interior are great being it was always sheltered. It runs good and her daughter said her mom never had any mechanical issues. It's a base model with the 2.0 and CVT. First thing I did was change the oil, but with a car that age that sat six months every year what would you recommended servicing or checking? I'm not a mechanic and I'm leery of just taking it to the local Mitsubishi dealer and tell them "check everything". Don't want to leave myself open to a bunch of unnecessary expense. Thanks for your help!
