I was curious on how my spark plugs are installed that I removed the connecter for the 3rd plug and when I went to reconnect it, I cannot get the boot to fit all the way flush and snug against the engine and now it sits high. The connector is on the plug and the engine seems to run fine.
I tried carefully pressing and twisting and turning the boot without damaging the wire, but I just cannot get that boot all the way back on.

 

i think if its aftermarket plugs/wires, it will stick out.. like the magnecor..

 

no..this is the stock wire. The boot was sitting all the way flat on the engine as the other wire is. I pulled it out to look at the plug and when I went to reconnect it, the boot pops back up about a 1/8" or so high.
