Thumbs up Just got my Australian 2002 vrx lancer!!!

Hi, Well I havn't seen any other Australians say anything ( if any of them have one I would love to hear from them).

Basically I got my 2002 vrx lancer .... I think it's sort of the same as the us OZ's.

I love the car !!! I got it with factory sunroof abs and Alarm. I think it's the only one on the road!!! hehe well I havn't seen any other ones!! I got a Amithest Black one... which is basically black but if you go up very close you can see specks of deep purple in it..... Umm I got the Sportstronic model which is basically the cluchless shifting.

I havn't done any mods yet( I'm a newbie when it comes to doing up cars and am afraid of voiding the warenty.)

Anyway the car looks sweet!!

it came with foglights built in.

I will put up pic's as fast as I can.

anyway nice to join the club and love reading da posts ( it's giving me allot of ideas!!)

ps Would this be like your 2003 model? I'm not sure cos it has factory optional ele sunroof and ABS... any ideas?? thanks Ohh to help it's 94kw

ok thanks Antony

And to top it off our '02 and '03 are nearly identical as well.

EDIT: Oh yeah. Congrats on the car.

Ohh ok thanks
Hey I was looking at the subaru imprezza( when I was thinking of getting a car and the model I was looking at had the same (sort of specs as the lancer ) same suspension, sohc, even the same power 94kw
The only difference ( Which would be a hell of a lot i guess for handling)
was the AWD..... I thought this was weird?? it also had a 2.0 ltr engin...
Anyway I really prefered the look of the new lancer but people have been telling me that I should have gone for the imprezza..... What do you think??

why is mitsu thincking for USA

why is it that all the other countrys in the world getthe go stuff and we get the watered down sisy **** I would have gladly paid extra for that trans Mitsubishi slogan is wake up and drive here in the US well at least here in north cal. mitsubishi needs to wake up and ask what the newer genaration car buyer realy whants not what they think they whant. plus all the ever stricker smog laws in Cal. does not help . need pic sounds like a nice car .

well, you kinda hit it indirectly on the head. California Emissions are a big reason why our cars tend to be watered down. We also have 5mph crash tests that they have to pass which is a major reason why people are thinking the EVO will have either a side or top mount IC. Our "Free" country has insane amount of regulations regarding traffic, not the car companies fault, but your local senators
