I fear my lancer tuning days are over.

Hey guys, I fear that my lancer tuning days are over. After my RRM piggyback i think that instaid of buying a turbo i am going to buy a AE86. You may be asking why, well that simple because i WANT TO DRIFT SOOO BAD. And considering i can get a good running 86 for probably about 1000 bucks that leaves me with the remaining 3 grand to make it what it needs to be.

You see,

is where i belong not in a line.... The 86 should hold me off atleast untill
the grey bad boy in the front of this picture is in my garage.

I don't blame you. I'd love to get a drift machine as well.

I'm with you, my lancer is done for as far as aftermarket is concerned, this past sunday I picked up an 04 kawasaki zx-6r 636, and all I can say is wow, the lancer could never throw up that kind of acceleration.

I had an 86.5 Toyota Supra, it was sooooooooo much fun to drift around corners. Had to sell it though, because it would have cost me way too much to maintain. Good luck with the AE86 search.

Just for everyones info, thats a BWM M1 in that first pic, not an AE86. (Not accusing the poster that he thought it was a AE86, just thought Id mention it)

Yeah I'm done modding up the engine in my Lancer too. This time next year I'm buying a Ralliart, and the Lancer tuning will continue

heh now to think of it... i cant really afford another inshurance payment....looks like more money goes into the lancer
(just less)then when i get a real job (out of college) I will but an 86 or a 240sx and put a SR20 in that biach!!!!

next lancer mods:
RRM piggy
Headers
JDM lights
HIDs
mabie a grill
mabie Rims
Then i think iam done unless they come out with something sick the rest of my money will be saved for the drift car.

Yeah, i had major plans to overhaul my lancer when i got it, a turbo mos def was be put in there. Thou now im just tired, shes nice as is and to get something better i want factory better not aftermarket better, so shes goin for trade (hopefully this weekend for a new wrx or used evo), if not ill pay a lil more off to make a desirable wrx/ used evo payments.

enjoku knows whats up! its all about the old school shiat! 1st gen box type turbo lancers are the ****! evo1,2 and 3 everythings else after that is just okay

on topic...86s are hard to drift, get a repair book even though its a good running motor be prepared to replace alot of things especially if your drifting, the engine bay doesn't hold to well when your pushing the car to its limits especially side ways. So i would suggest doing chassis and suspension work first then get LSD and all the power add-on goods. Good luck, enjoy and be carefull!

Hmm, hehe, I just put some money down on a '90 240sx. once I find a track around these here parts I think it's time to learn to drift and not crash into guardrails...
