who doesn't think the lancer is slow?

No the lancer is not a speed machine, it was built for economy, but I do agree that it accepts mods pretty well, I have a rrm header, aem cai on it, and just yesterday put on the rrm ported throttle body and wow it made a hella difference, big jump in acceleration, def worth the money. But as far as all the evo talk compared to the lancer, cocky evo owners can lick my ***. Don't get me wrong, the evo is an awesome machine, but it aint the best or the fastest, and the cocky evo owners around here need to stop comparin' it to the base lancer. It's no different than me sayin that my bike would whoop the snot out of an evo, hell, even modify it, I'll still kill it. My bike runs 10.5 in the quarter STOCK, now that's it's modded too, I'll take any evo or sti. But I don't compare the two because they are two totally diffferent things, just like the 4g94, and the 4g63, two totally different engines, not to mention the drivetrain.

. I feel you on alot of subjects. I dont feel like my lancer is sllllllooow as hell, but i def want something faster. Unlike alot of yall, i havent incounter anybody wanting to race me at a light yet and i have an evo7 spoiler and grill and debadge and some other mods. If anything, honda owners stop look and say 'nah man, its those ****in evos', im like naaaaw its a lancer... race me, haha. Still im getting a wrx and just gonna improve on that, it has all the right ingridiants for a speed platform, than trade it in later for an sTI or evo 
It is true! Lancer is slow, especially when you have a stock 120hp (probably 90whp).. From my experience, when driving in the long hill.....man, it is hard to accelerate. Last time, a SUB cut me off...
i thought its a known fact that Lancer ES,LS, OZ are not a fast cars, not even quick at all, its just a compact saden. only RA can gets the sport sedan title, and EVO can get the super car title

i love my lancer. i have my headers just waiting to put them on because still waitin on intake and exhaust with my ken style body kit. just seems like never ending mods. i would love to have an evo but i like that i am kinda building my own evo but from the ground up!!!!

One of the members at the Mirage board put a 4G94 into his coupe. He ran a 16.6 (or maybe a 16.4, I forget) with the engine being stock.
So no, it's still not a lot faster, lol.
