i have just finished modiying my car, and i read my whole modification sheet, you have to have approval for rims more then
something like 2 inches then stock, you have to have springs permission, sunroof, some spoiler kits not all, putting disc brakes on the back instead of drums, if you add a different speedo you have to have permission, and all wierd **** like that.. and the worst thing is, no one knows about them having to do it !
laws suck... but i guess they are there for a reason.

when i got my lancer i was questioning the dealer about every possible mod i could add to my cart to see if it would void warranty. all he said was, cant lower it, cant touch the engine (no intake, header etc..) and dont touch the drive train) other then that i could do whatever i want, he was even telling me where to get my windows tinted, rims, exhuast and all kinds of stuff for my car. He was real kool about it, and even gave me a really good deal on my car
BEEN THERE....
yeah i had a problem somewhat related to yours my problem was that i killed my front shocks due to my car being so low. and i knew that the warranty was voided due to the lowering so i just put my stock springs back on and thats it but cuz of rims your warranty CAN NOT be voided but since your car is lowered then yes its voided but my suggestion is put your stock springs back on and take it to another dealer i asure you they'll fix it . . . or atleast they should
well, when i talked to my dealer about modifications to the car and voiding the warranty, his consistant and annoying reply was, "if the cause of the malfunction is due to the aftermarket part, then it voids the warranty." the question i have to that, is does it void the warranty for that service only, or does it void the 5 year overall warranty completely? cause those are both two very different things!
Yeah Im currently going through the same thing. Transfer case failed and mits. says beacause I have a tanabe turboback exh that the down pipe is much larger in diameter reducing the clearance to the right axle seal and that the reduction in clearance melted seal causing oil to leak out the t-case. Had them refill t-case and drove home and next day their is no oil on the ground. Dont know what to do now. T-case is $3500.00

Generally no. And your post should be in Evo Gen.
Unless your aftermarket parts caused the claim. The dealer cannot void your warranty.
