What is a core exchange?
you send them yours once you receive the new one. good in the sense that you don't have parts you don't need laying around.....bad in the sense that you don't have parts laying around that you MIGHT want.
They do it this way because they don't have a surplus of parts to keep buying, working and selling them. Instead they require the core exchange so that they are able to keep parts in stock. It also helps to keep costs down since it means they have to put out less money forward in the first place.
