A very close call
Just wanted to let you guys know about my ****ty day. During a torential downpour I went over to a local body shop to get an estimate on having my new Evo 7 wing installed. On the way home I decided to run through a puddle that didn't look all that deep. Bad mistake. The puddle turned out to be twice as deep as I had originally thought. At this point in my story I should mention that I have an AEM CAI (no bypass valve), with Tein s-tech springs. My car died halfway through what I discovered to be a small lake. I started freaking out as you can imagine. I got out and pushed the car onto dry land. Tried to start it up and nothing. Tried 2 more times, still nothing. I sat there for a couple minutes and tried again. This time it fired up. I floored it and tried to burn off all the water I could. The car was misfiring a bit but thank God it started. I managed to get it over to the dealership without too much trouble. The mechanic did an oil charge, and changed 1 of the spark plugs. Thankfully that was all it took to fix it. Total cost $33. I was lucky it wasn't worse. Tomorrow I'll be buying a bypass valve. I am such a dumbass
we're in edmonton, must have just hit that massive downpour. we drove through about 4 feet of water really fast and almost stalled it out. i gassed it and it died when I hit a few high rpms, drove it slowly to a friends house and here we are. I hope the water comes out, or I just have to replace a spark plug =)
