has anyone replaced their windows?

has anyone replaced their door windows or the windshield? .... its been a yr since my windshield got cracked and i'm planning to get it replace... anyone know how much it would cost? ... i'm guessing maybe 400-500 for a new one.... and i want to replace both door/front windows that have small scratches.

i found a wrecked lancer but they guy is asking for 250 each and he'll give me $50 off if i get both plus shipping... is that a rip off or no? i dont even know the condition of the windows either.

I think it costs about $300-400 to replace a windshield (including labor). Never had to do that on a Lancer, but that's how much it cost for a 94 Camaro and a 89 Firebird. So that price seems a little high since you need to get it installed

i had to replace the side windows due to theft. 180$CA for each window.
(cost depends on where you call)

the front window i can get replaced for about 250$CA

the tiny little side windows cost about 90$CA to replace

sounds like 250 is a rip off considering it's used and does not include installation.

I actually replace car windows for a living. I'm not sure what the market is in jersey but here in arizona, i could replace the fron windshield for about 160, installed at your location with warranty. the side ones prolly about 150 or so for the ones that roll up and down. one word of advice, full glass coverage almost pays for itself the first time you use it.

Talking

That's how much I got mine Windshield done for, $160. Claimed it on insurance though, so only costed me $100.

Theres some places that'll pay your insurence deductible and bill your insurence for the rest... free windshield. Insurence won't go up cause it's against the law to drive with a cracked one so the insurence has to cover it and isn't aloud to raise premium

Yup these are the kind of guys you need to look for, most work for dealers on the road, they can replace yours with a used one or a new one for under $300 installed, take them less than 20 minutes at your home or place of work.
