hi Dj,

I like the aquamist line and this bb
http://waterinjection.info/phpBB2/in...2f505602ebe300

mostly because of the safety concerns for protecting the engine.

If you are asking if this is the real deal, the answer is yes! It is a little expensive, but then again it is about the same as a intercooler in cost but does much more to give you power.

It has been said that running water with 93 octane gas has the same effect as if you were running race gas.

I think the biggest gains come with cars with forced air induction. however there is a line on the bb about regular induction cars, you might check it out.

Water Injection is not a direct power adder. It works in a couple of ways. First it somewhat cools your intake air temp, and secondly it absorbs a tremendous amount of heat in the cylinder giving you a slower and more complete flame front. It also reduces hot spots on the cylinder wall to prevent pre-ignition.

In forced induction engines, it allows you to increase your boost and timing, while reducing the tendency toward detonation. IT also uses less volume than gasoline to cool the same amount, which also allows more air. Basically with water injection you can run a 12:1 AFR safely with low EGT and knock.

While the benefits are the same for NA engines, you would be hard pressed to really find an advantage by using WI, because you are not running on the ragged edge of your engine tuning. The only way you are going to gain power would be by significantly advancing your timing, or really upgrading your air intake/exhaust system (manifolds, TB, cams, etc.), then using WI to keep everything in check.
