header questions

going to buy a used road race header and was wondering if you need a impact wrench to torqe down the bolts? this is what i was told so you do not get an exhaust leak.And i can just use my stock gaskets right?thanks for any input

you do NOT need an impact wrench for the header. and i used my stock gaskets and they work just fine, just dont tear em. and youll have a biotch of a time getting the farthest left bolt off the head. good luck tho!

how long on the install? and no exhuast leks with a regular wrench?

agreed- impact wrench would be nice but not necessary.

Wasn't that hard, I read about the secret of bending back the little metal piece near the bolt and get at the bolt like that. Very easy install.

well, should only take around 45 minutes as long as you scope out everything you need to do first off. but if your anything like me, youll run into stupid little **** and end up taking 3 hours....... just a tip tho.....unbolt the down pipe and bottom part of the stock header first. will make things much easier.

install about 2 hours if you have all the tools....impact wrench not needed as you can damage( over torque) the bolts and cause more problems later on
