2004 es spring question
2004 es spring question
hey guys i got a question i got a 2004 es model and of course suspension is a pain in the *** to find expesially here in canada because so far the only 2 companies that make springs for my car is dropzone and sprint
here is my question lets say i take the shocks from an oz or rallyart can i put it on my car and if i could do that then i should be able to put a spring set on the shocks
ex: oz shocks with a tein springs which fit an oz will this work
i am asking becasue my friends has a 91 protege and he put for focus shocks on his car and then eibach suspension kit for the ford focus and it worked like a charm nice lower and excellent ride
thanks

I mean it needs to include the upper and lower spring perches. If you buy them from the dealer, it will most likely be the entire thing, but if you buy them used, there's a possibility someone is just selling part of it.
I don't think the evo one would work but I'm not a suspension expert. Whats the real point in doing this though? Why not just get the springs made for the ES? The OZ struts aren't gonna make it that much better and its just gonna add price. You might as well just save your money and then get the tein basic or super street setup.
tein doesnt have anything for the es
the only company that has something for the es is sprint and dropzone sprint will take too long to get and dropzone still trying to find a dealer in canada

The tein full kits (basic and super street damper kits) work for the es since they replace the struts and springs. At least I think thats why they work...either way they fit on the es and are a much better buy than just springs since you won't get a bumpy ride due to blown shocks. If you really want just springs check http://www.roadracemotorsports.com/. They carry progress springs for the es.
they dont work at all there is a mistake on the road race website as soon as i get home i will copy and paste the email they sent me they told me none of there products will fit the es model

All you need to do is replace the front upper strut mounts and the upper strut bearings. Check out this forum for more info on the teins https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...highlight=tein.
The Tein full kit WILL work, I have PERSONALLY seen it on an ES in Northern California. I believe it's Uranium9V on the forums. Also, the entire Evo 7 suspension should fit either Lancer, but NOT the Evo 8.
