Got a responding Email From RMR

I asked if the header comes with a downpipe and what the price is.

No it does not. The header system (as it sits now) is the upper section only. You are able to purchase it directly, and your cost will be $550.00 (includes shipping).

I'm not sure if this is a WTLW but this is the response I got. Too bad I asked like 3 other questions and they didnt respond to any of them

Anyway $550 isn't too bad, but still alot for just a header and no downpipe.

Buschur downpipe would be a great addition assuming they bolt the same. Dyno proven as well. The only way I could see it being worth that much though (to me personally) is if I was still considering building an NA beast.

N/A would be cool...ive been thinking about doing the quad throttle body thing..and with new headers and a good cat back with 4 cold air intakes...and a good fuel management system...it should get around 210 hp...oh yea...fogot that it would need new cam and maybe some forged pistons too....but to fly.....ahhhhh

"Blah blah, I'm building a show car. Blah blah."

Happy now? I'm broke anyway. All I can do now is wish for car parts to rain from the skies.

why would you want only the upper-section of the header? $550? hahaha, are you drunk? I would pay $450 for a FULL HEADER SYSTEM, 550 is terrible. the road/race one will be a FULL HEADER most likely, and im waiting for that one to come out. Don't waste your money on that dude, trust me it's not worth it!

oh great now im lost...i am only familiar with chevy's on the header deal...there is the header that comes out and then points down, then it connects to the exhaust....Does that mean our lancers have a 2 piece header system....

It is enought to drive a man to drink..what was mitsu thinking...or is it so it can be removed easier

What it comes down to is time and $$$$. Companies will produce more aftermarket once the Evolution hits the states. Until then we have to wait or pay inflated prices, since supply is low.

I'm sure it will fit to your stock downpipe. Personally I'd get a Buschur off road downpipe to replace it with, but I'm not certain the two would be compatable (I'd assume so though). ...then I'd never touch my exhaust system again. Then again if I had the money I'd probably go forced induction.

What Im afraid of is that they will start to make only parts for the evo and forget us us lancer owners alltogether

The Evo will never sell as many cars due to it's being double the cost and limited production runs. I don't think we'll be forgotten.
