Oil Pressure/Temp Gauges
Oil Pressure/Temp Gauges
I ran a search and really didn't find the information I was looking for. Most of the results were for EVOs, which seem to have a different oil pan than the US Lancer (makes sense). So here is my dilemma.
Buying the RRM turbo kit is in my near future, and I want to get some gauges and have them installed before I put in the kit so I know what normal readings are. I'm worried about installing the oil temp and pressure gauges because I've heard some bad things about fittings not fitting exactly and such. BTW, I'm getting Autometere Phantom series gauges. So my questions are:
1. Where do I install the sensors to get good readings and it's not a pain in the butt to install?
2. What size fittings do I need and where do I get them?
3. NISsport makes this fitting, will it fit?
Any installation suggestions will be helpful as well.

Well, I figured out a way to do this on my own, but I would have to wait till I got the turbo kit and install the oil line. I would tap into the line using this connector or one like it: Adapter Fitting. Then attach sensors and lines to that.
The EVO guys are installing pressure gauges by removing a bolt in the oil pan right next to the filter. Is this bolt on the US Lancer as well?
