You know what Im some freakin fed up with victorville mitsubishi, you can boil an egg on my head right now.

Anyways, as you guys know, ive been getting really bad gas, something like 19 to the gallon and thats not right for my lancer. As I was told by fellow evoM owners, put my stock parts on and take it to mitsubishi, and so I did. Don't want them throwing my warranty away because of aftermakert parts. But, wait a minute, arithmetic doesnt have a warranty, yeah thats right by mitsubishi of victorville, I ****ING DONT

Well, i take my car up to them this morning so they can figure out why im getting such bad gas. The service guy is cool and does all the paperwork, tells me sign here for the $80 diagnostic check, I told him "my car is under warranty, I shouldnt have to pay for it". He told me, that in there file, it says I have no warranty, so I have to pay. I immediatly got pissed off, because that was the selling point of me buying the car. I bought it at 39k+ miles (used) and the 3year or 36K warranty was already gone from it. So to sweetin the deal, because i was gonna walk out and go to nissan and a new o4 spec V, the sales rep ( I wont mention his name) thru in the extended warranty, still I wasnt for sure, but he assured me enough and that I had the best deal around on a used lancer ( i paid 8500 for it). So I took the deal.

Anyways, I talk to the file mangement people and ask if they can bring up my warranty papers and the woman pulls my file out and tells me, you dont have any warranty papers and the computers show, you never got a warranty. I flipped out and I told her, I was offered the warranty, (sales repT) told me he threw it in there and she said, well we dont have it in the computer or paper. I said look, why would i buy a car @ 40k miles and not get an extended warranty? and she had a "" look on her face and I said "right exactly, nobody buy's a used car with that many miles withouht the extended warranty".

She told me I could talk to the finance guy (Ill call him "C") and explain my story, so I had to wait, while im waiting I call my mom and tell her the story and she got just as pissed, my mom and gf was there when "sales repT" told me he offered the extended warranty. So she told me to stay calm and dont do anything stupid, since mitsubishi is next to the police station . Anyways, the lady comes out and tells me I can talk to "finance guyB" (wont mention name). GuyB was a total total total *******, first thing he said was "If i was you, I wouldnt complain, you got a hell of a deal, we paid 8700 for the car and you got it for 8500", I thought in my head "*****", anyways, I said hey smart guy, this aint about my stupid car deal, its about a warranty and Im hearing you guys are offering warrantys but not putting them down on final papers? And he was puzzled. Basically he chewed me out, told me he couldnt do anything and i was screwed. He kept repeating what a "hell of a deal" i got on my lancer.

I was like "hell of a deal"??? See those evo's right there sell me them for 10k, now thats a "hell of a deal". He was throwing shots at me and being a jerk. I told him, your sales people here are a joke, and he said "no, where bussiness men" and I said "unproffessional shady business men at that" and I walked out. I got my car from the service area and told him 'Im going WRX" and he said why mike, and i said "cuz VV mitsu is a joke, hell mitsu in general is a joke" They get a new toy and they act like there "Mr. Hollywood, role the carpet down for our beloved cars". And i left back to work, pissed off but looking at new cars for sure now.

I knew something was wrong, when the talked me out of the ralli-art when I first went there and they put me in a base lancer. I should've stuck to my guns, and went ralli-art or stuck to my DAM GUNS and went specV.

do you have th copy of the papers?...if it noted on there then you can get htem for i...if not...then you signed the deal and its kinda your fault for not reviewing the final agreement...sorry to hear what happened but i would file a claim with the BBB

 

yeah ususally when you are going over the papers for sale, you also have to review and sign the warranty / extended warranty papers... I would have to agree 3/4 mitsu sales people that i have talked to have been complete butt pirates... When the Evo came out i wasn't allowed to touch it like i was some friggen kid...

 

^^^ I hear ya, reason why I didnt check it was soley because sales repT assured me like 50th billion times, that was pretty much the signing point of the deal. I mean I was sure of it, didnt think twice till when I was looking at all my papers and said "where's my warranty". Still, mistu is being shady. Fianance guy-B told me, that sales repT would be in at 11am, and finance guy C would be in shortly. Thing is, sales repT didnt come in today and is off for the next week, tell me that seems strange, and finance guyC didnt come in today aswell, but they where shedule to come in before I came in with my sitution. Thats what makes me even more mad, because they know there sales team has faults.

 

you're right i got my lancer vv mitsubishi and my brake went out prematurely so i took it back.they were like rotors are wear and tear item, i told them i know but not at 5000 miles, anyway i had to call mitsubishi them self to have the problem solved and same day too. so talking to these vv people is useless. take it up with the higher ups.

nobody has called me from mitsubishi to even help or update me, them bastards. Im going to nissan today, there having a "Bottom Line Sales Event" on all the last o4's, there selling 04 specV for 15500, without taxes and plates, still WRX is on my dinner plate.

Exactly. I was getting no service from my dealership. I called the higher ups at the California office. They called my dealership, ripped them a new one. Since then, my dealership has been very helpful and nice. Give it a shot!

 

you have a pretty good chance of getting screwed on your warranty on a spec as well. the spec isnt known for being reliable and nissan hate warranty work

 

I feel for you. I worked at a dealership years ago and they are shady people most of the time. The only problem is that you cannot show warranty papers which you would have signed, at the time of the deal, if it was included. I know that I had to sign for my warranty which I was able to review. The only thing you have going for you now is your witnessess to the deal, but Im not sure if that would even hold up in court.

 

now you know why i got rid of my damn lancer.. i ****in hate dealing with stupid mitsu ****ers who dont even wanna work on a damn $15,000 car under warranty. i was told i would have a 12,000 mile warranty on my brakes and it went out before 12k, and they still didn't honor it.. so i had to pay $210 out of my own damn pocket. also, they dont even wanna honor the warranty on my dad's galant since his automatic jerks between the 1-2 gear shift. AND to top it all off, they were charging me $92 to run a "diagnostic test" to see WHY my CEL was on. diagnostic test my ***.. its more like, you pay $92 so i can unplug the negative terminal for 15 minutes while i rape you up the butt.

so it makes you wonder what kind of things mitsu WILL replace under warranty.. now that i got rid of it, mitsu can kiss my *** all they want coz god knows i'll never buy anything from them again.. sorry to hear what you're going thru arithmetic.. its pretty surprising to see a common practice with ALL mitsubishi's all the way from california to new jersey. take it to the Better Business Bureau and see what happens..

 

^^^ thanks majestic. I can tell you know exactly how i feel. Ive dealt with victorville mitsu waaaaay to many times and i get screwed. Also don't even mention to me ontario mitsubishi, them ****s wanted me to pay 33k for a used 14k miles red evo, and had the nerves to get mad at me when I said I was leaving and that was like 3months ago. Ive been having bad luck with mitsu ever since I got my car.

About the specV, I know its not just mitsu dealership, all dealership can be a lil shady. Thou, ive always wanted a specV before any mitsu or subaru car. Im keeping my options open thou. Haha, majestic my girl is dying for me to get a rsx-s. She looooves that car to death, I dont know I might have to check them out only cuz its an acura

 

haha im tellin you man.. you cant go wrong with honda. this car is meant to be driven hard. you can still get a really good deal on them with the last 04's because a newly designed 05 just came out. so if you're not too picky on colors, you can get a 2004 type-s below invoice. because to tell you the truth, the 2005 rsx looks like ***.

my girl pushed me to get this car too coz she loves the damn thing . i got one of the last pearl white rsx's in my area so like i said, you'll get a really good deal if you're open to color choices. i had to wait a week for delivery on mine because white was the only color i wanted. and a word of advice.. acura gave me an extra $1130 on top of the book value for my lancer with 37k miles.. so in essence, they gave me $8330 for my trade-in. just $170 less than what you initially paid for it. thats the thing you can bargain for along with the invoice of the car.

im not being biased towards acura or anything because i own one, but i've driven a spec-v and although they're more torque'y than the rsx, the comfort level of the spec-v doesnt even compare. its like im sitting in a first class airplane seat everytime i drive my car now . and even if the spec-v's are more torque'y, once the rsx-s gets its infamous 3rd gear pull, its not even a challenge. then again, its your choice. but just know that honda aftermarket is huge, their reliability is top-notch, and their resale value is the best.. those are the things to keep in mind. good luck with the car shopping and tell your girl she got great taste in cars
