OK i go to my mechanic yesterday to put my new progress springs on. he takes the front strut bar off and continues to remove the struts. one by one he puts the new springs on. when he tried to put the strut bar back in place, he realized that when my dealer installed my RMR strut bar(my mechanic wouldn't mess wit it cuz it didn't fit easily), they stripped all the screws that hold the strut bar down. they were stripped so much that i had to take the strut bar out, put it in my trunk(doing a lot of good there), and he even had to cut the screws down to get a nut to catch and screw down to hold my struts in place. Now im very pissed, i want the dealer to give me new strut tops, im gonna go today and talk to them about it. Since my last visit to the dealer, i've added a header, test pipe, springs and rear sway bar. I hope they dont see the stuff i added and tell me that they can't do anything for me. does anyone know what i should say to them? im thinking im just gonna go in there, tell them exactly what happend, and ask if they'll replace that under their warranty since they were the ones who damaged it. i can't believe a dealer installed option can't even be done right. ok sorry for the rant, just wanted to let u guys know what happened. any feedback is appreciated.

 

They have to fix it unless they can prove what you did screwed it all up.

 

i went to my dealer with an intake, exhaust, and headers. They couldnt say anything, in fact i was complimented on how nice it sounded. ONe guy wanted to know where i got the headers.
Anyway to make a long story short, headers and that other stuff have nothing to do with suspension. They would have to pay for it.

 

yea, i went and spoke to him. he said that he's gonna help me, but he doesn't know if it will be covered under the warranty cuz i had put the springs in. he said he can replace them, maybe not for free, but it has to be on a saturday when the manager isn't there. he's mad cool, i also told him that if he can't do it for free that we would split it. we'll see, i should be hearing from him this week.

 

with dealership under warranty, they are real nick-picky. The consumers are mostly the loser.
