04 Grille

Hey i was wondering if anyone has installed a mesh grille in their 04. i have the accolade one and i removed the top four buttons but there seems to be something else holding it in. didnt want to yank too hard. any suggestions? thanks

The screws? the grille kinda sticks and you might have to pull harder than it looks like the grille can take.

If I remember correctly, it clips/ snaps into place on the bottom of the grill. It's been a while since I replaced the grills.

yeah it has lips on the plastic pieces on the back of the grille... slide your fingers in and pull up if its on the bottom and pull down if your pulling on the top..\

the newer lancers.. phased out the plastic clips and got plastic screws... cuz i lost 2 of mine and went to buy more and the parts guy said they don't sell clips anymore ... just plastic screws that do the same exact thing(expand when you spin the screw down through the plastic piece it sits in

thanks guys. i'll check it out and see what happens. yep sorry i meant screws, haha don't know why i said buttons. their are four on top, but it seemed like there had to be something in the back or on the bottom. i'll try pulling up maybe. thanks
