Woo I get to push the new thread button!

So it's time for me to do an oil change and I just wanted your input, fellow forumers. What oil would you recommend for this engine? I always put Amsoil in the 454 and Mobil 1 XP in the Impala, but I'm always open to new suggestions especially when it comes to new engines.

What brands of oil and filter do you guys recommend? I know the car's new and I don't know if anyone here's done an oil change yet but it's good to get this conversation going.

Personally I'm going with 5W-30 Mobil One full Synthetic with a genuine Mits filter. I have always used Mobil One and just kinda have an attachment for it. Just my input though...

 

Amsoil or Mobil 1 full syn. Weight depends on your climate.

You have 7,500 miles on it already or are you changing it at 3,000?
