govener?

sup guys i have a 08 lancer ES (auto) heh yea i got the auto cuz i do alot of driving n i hate driving threw LA traffic with a stick...lol..anywho...i was just wondering if u guys with the GTS CVT n other people that have auto have this problem...when i would put it into nutral n rev..i would only kik up to 4 grand n then dies back down?? now is that the governer kickin in or something?? n if so does anyone know how to get rid of it??

Not sure if its the govenor or not; but mine does the same thing. Also won't go past 120 MPH

aww boooo...yea when i was drivin from calie to texas i was hittin about 120 n i was gonna try n kik it harder but i only had 800 miles on the car...lol...soo i didnt wanna try n mess up my engine or something durin my breakin in period...but i have another question for u sithlord..when u got ur RRM pulley did u feel a noticeable power increase?

Yes, that's the ECU limiting the RPMs so you don't pop the motor by freerevving in Park or Neutral. This has already been covered in the Engine Forum, BTW.

You also can't get to 6500 while driving. 6000 in "manual" and about 6200 in "auto" with the CVT.

i've got to 6500 in my GTS (auto) but the power seems to want to fall off at that point ..... but the car wont reach redline
