I'll guess that you would use some type of cleaning solvent and a rag.

I don't mean to be a smart @$$...ok, I kinda meant to be a smart @$$, but seriously could you be a little more specific. I guess, in general for cleaning car parts I would go with maybe some simple green and a scrub brush, or something along those lines.

While it's on the car, or off? If on the car, try cleaning it out with Seafoam. If not, cheaper the better. I used brake cleaner on my completely bare Civic IM; worked wonders on getting 14yrs of buildup off it!

i use TB cleaner & seafoam. i've never tried brake cleaner though, i may have to give that a bash.
