Some people might not even notice it since it's so pathetically dim, but I'm wondering if anyone has instructions on replacing them with something brighter, perhaps a brighter blue/white bulb because that'll look much better and you can actually see that drawer thing at night.

Haven't tried it, but seems simple enough. There are just LED Lights. Rip apart the Dash, Unsolder the old ones and re-solder the new ones. LED's, depending on colour, are like 10+ cents each from an electronic's store.
