How To: Installing Mitsubishi Aux/MP3 cable

I was wondering if I had an regular male end male start AUX Cable, can we splice it and make our own connections and connect it to the back of the Navi? Is it the same? Hmm?

i post this because i read the this thread and saw the "how to Install".. but i dont really need to unmount the Pannel... i just bought a 20 bucks gold cable Aux to 3.5 Plug and VOILA !... i can hear my iPod Music on the sound sistem.
just hold the CD Button for 3 or 5 seconds and it appears "aux" in the Pannel.

Yes. If you have the Sun and Sound packege with or without navi you have the AUX inputs below the stereo in the small compartment by the shifter. If you have NAV then you also have the video input with the two audio.

Help mee =(

So this is what I have as an AUX cable. I have cut off the other male end.

There are green, red, white, and a black wire. Can I put these on metal plugs like the picture below me?

If its possible.. What is the green wire on my AUX cable for? And.. Where can i get those metal plugs to plug into the 18 pin audio pigtail?

heres another image.

I will be able to help you, but I'm a little confused as to what you are trying to do here. You said you already have the front aux ports? Why are you trying to run a second AUX cable?
