Why buy an EVO strut tower brace? There are braces out there for the Lancer.

Without cruise control, yes! I even have the bolt in the firewall for the mounting location for it. But not sure about '06. I did almost get one before RDD made his kick-*** bars, but they luckily tested it on an OZ before I bought it and said the solinoid for the CC on top of the TB gets in the way.

Good luck!

The circled item is the CC solenoid...notice the bolt in the firewall behind it.

That's what I was told by an Evo owner that almost sold me his strut tower bar. Basically he had a friend with a regular lancer w/ CC and I asked him to test-fit it first, and then if it had no issues I would buy it. He said it was a direct swap over until he started the car...the bar hit or banged up against the CC solenoid. So needless to say, I didn't buy it cuz I was keeping my A/C.

BTW, you'd not be the first to have a Cusco Evo strut bar! I've seen one around here before...but good luck finding it!
