Rear Wheel Cylinder Replacement
Rear Wheel Cylinder Replacement
Haven't found anything on this. I'm going to bleed the brakes when I'm doing this, but other than that is there anything I should be looking out for? Found some decent-priced cylinders on Advanced Autoparts online store, $18 a pop vs. most other guys charging $40 each. I figure since the drum brakes aren't doing all the stopping power, going cheap on the cylinders wouldn't be a big deal.
ANy input would be great, thanks!

They weren't that bad, although I almost stripped a brakeline nut. Best way to do this is to remove the bleeder valve from the old cylinders to give you better clearance with a wrench.
The bleeder was a 5/16, and the two bolts holding the cylinder on are 9mm, I believe (if I remember right).
Make sure you clamp the brake line with a set of vice grips on either side so you don't have a mess. Having a second person to help you bleed the lines is a must, unless you have some extra tools to let you do it by yourself. (i.e.: http://store.summitracing.com/egnsea...40&D=%2D108540 )
Found these at summit, they have a bunch of thread patterns so I'm sure there's something to fit a lancer...they might come in handy next time: http://store.summitracing.com/egnsea...115+4294887874
And Advance Autoparts has the cheapest cylinders, coming in at $18 a pop.
