Hi,

I am planning to do a DIY of clutch replacement. I have found several how to's from this site and its very helpful. I have the tools that I need, alligator jack, jack stands, scissor jacks, set of socket wrenches and torque wrench.

I just have one question in mind before I proceed. How difficult is it to separate the transmission housing from the engine block? This is the first time that it will be opened since the car was bought in year 2000. Will it simply be removing the bolts, disconnecting the release bearing and pulling the tranny housing?
