headlight alignment

has anybody figured out how to align the headlights?

i just installed HIDs and i really dont want to blind other drivers (and it looks very tacky to me when the car is glaring).

i guess can take it to mitsubishi and get it fixed but i love DIYs

theres two ways you can do it. first is use a 6" phillips screw driver to reach down an alley on the headlight assembly to turn the adjustment dial(see pic)

or if you look at the bracket that mounts the harness for your lights you should see a 10mm bolt that you can use a socket and ratchet to trun it. dont got the pic for that one right now but if you cant find it and need the pic let me know

do you mean the bolt that holds the entire headlight assembly?

Have you tried to adjust them yet? I want to do the same thing but I figured I would wait to see if it even helps before I do it. Let me know how it goes. Thanks!

yea i tried; i failed using the philips screw method cuz i can't find a 6inch driver that's thin enough to fit through the gap.

the bolt works well tho (to find the bolt, just look through the alley and the first bolt you see is the adjustment bolt)

turn clockwise (your direction, facing headlamp) and you will raise it vertically. turn counter clockwise and it will lower vertically.

i used a wrench to turn the bolt and with limited space it took me a while. but after a few turns you will see a significant lowering. i dont blind people anymore. perfect.
