Bluetooth Handsfree Kit
My 2008 Lancer ES came with the bluetooth thing already attached to the steering wheel and stuff but it won't work and the guy at the dealer said it needed to be "activated" or something... Anyone know how to get around this so I don't have to pay 200 bucks to get it "activated" ?

Read the owners manual. You need to "sync" a bluetooth capable phone with the bluetooth thingie in the car. Do you have NAV? The NAV system has all the menus to do the sync. Takes about 15 minutes total.

I have an 08 Lancer ES too. The ES model simply doesn't have the module, it simply has the buttons which are not connected to anything. I tried the instructions in the owners manual btw.

Well, then you'll have to get the "module" or whatever it is installed. It's worth it IMO. People that drive on the phone should be shot. Esp. those that text while driving. They should be hung by the ballz, then shot.
did you know in CA they made it illegal to be on the phone while you drive? having bluetooth capability would negate that law for us
