some idiot broke my driver side side view mirror of my 02 lancer es. i bought some m3 style powered mirrors on ebay with the led blue/amber signals ($30 for a set instead of the $75-110 stock for 1). there were no manuals on how to install it. i've searched around for a wire diagram for the lancer but can't find any. i know where the wires for the powered mirrors go but don't know where to go for the LED lights. any help? thanks in advanced.

You would just tap into your front signals (if you want them to blink) or your side markers (if you want them as running lights)

Not sure about cali but blue is illegal in my state and ive heard cali is 50x worse!

 

if you are talking about them m3 mirrors on ebay, its pretty easy. for the powered mirror, i had to play around with the wire and ended up with blue>yellow, green>white, white>green. don't follow the instructions that comes with it because it'll just give you a big headache and you'll be like "WTF???"

for the signals, i used quick connectors and tapped into the front side turn signals. obviously black goes to black, white goes to the other (for white lights) and blue to the other for (blue lights) i'm in cali and i know blue is illegal, and i've heard that white is legal but california is shady when it comes to fix it tickets. anyone confirm if white is legal in california for front signals?

anywho, i didnt connect the signals because even though fix it tickets are only $10, its a hassle going to the police station to get it signed off and having to go to the court house to pay for the $10 processing fee.

had them on for about 2 months now and i'm thinking about going back to stock for several reasons. they don't fold, i hear more road noise now, and the mirror is too damn small and its cheaply made. well i paid $20 for a pair...what the hell was i expecting?
