Painting Pieces

I have a replacement grill and eyelids that have to be painted. I'm wondering what I need (aside from paint) to prep and paint them... Any help/directions/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

i would get a good quality primer, it will help the paint really adhere to the pieces. also for the chrome on the grille, get some sand paper and scuff up the chrome really well, you want to make it so the chrome is hazed out. i did it to mine, and it looks good, i have pics in my profile, take a look. and the eyelids is just a matter of priming and painting, and a clearcoat too if you want to.

I'm not repainting the stock grill... I have a nicer one but I just have to paint it... Thanks for the suggestions though - I'm going to attempt this on the weekend so hopefully it all goes well
