please help me
hii have a 2008 lancer GT its the same as the GTS but with a 2.0L engine
the problem is that it doesn't have an alarm system and because it has a keyless entry and ignition system i didn't want to install an alarm system with a remote so i bought a system called crimestopper CS-883 ( http://www.crimestopper.com/2009/keylessentry/cs-883.oem.html ) it's an upgrade for factory keyless entry systems
i need your help for installing it
i've included some photos of the installation manual and highlighted the wires that i couldn't find (it's almost all the wires), i don't want to install the engine immobilizer
i know that the wires in my car might be different in color but if you can tell me how to find them and where
thanx
^ Your car already comes with a factory alarm system. Under your radio do you have a LED that flashes when you lock your car? Its a very basic system but it will prevent people opening your doors etc when locked.
My advice if you arent fimilar with your car the alarm system and have the right tools, take it to a person who does.
You dont want to be cutting the wrong wires.

^ Ouch that blows. I cant see why yours wouldnt come with some sort of alarm even if basic. Maybe take it to the dealer if you cant find anyone to help.
Do you have a voltmeter? You will need one to find the +12V and negative wires.

Thanks for replying greedy son
I went to Mitsubishi dealers in 3 different COUNTRIES and they all said that they don’t have the factory alarm and they can’t install aftermarket alarm systems
But the good news is that I’ve found the door lock/unlock wires, and the trunk is not that important the only thing left is the lock/unlock validation wires and I’m going to remove the door panel tomorrow and see if I can find them
But … I have a question
Is there any way to check the wires with the voltmeter without stripping part of the wire??
Thanks again

^ Yes. Can you change the two leads (probes) on the voltmeter? if you can then you can get a lead the clamps down and bites into the wire. This prevents you from removing part of the insulation and all you are left with is a small hole. You can pick them up from any electronics store. These are also good when you dont have enough hands to hold the lead down on the wire or you are checking voltage changes.
