debadging question

this might be a stupid noob question and bare with me if theres already a thread about this but ive been thinking about plasti dipping my badges black. after i debadge my car and paint them should i still wax my car and all if im applying the badges to the exact same spots? i wanted to attempt to leave as much factory adhesive as possible so that i can just heat it up with a hair dryer and stick the badge back onto it. would that even work?

dont use the double side tape, it won't sit nearly as flush as adhesive. I have put on badges to my other vehicles, and I actually put the lancer badge off the back onto the girl, looks pretty legit. I use emblem adhesive, not sure on the brand, but its made for cars, and you could probably pick it up at ur local autozone. works perfect.

i would def give that a try first, normally the OEM adhesive is pretty good, so you dont wanna wax it or change its condition or it may not work like you want it to :/
