I am changing out the Transmission bearings from my Awesome -2003 Mitsubishi Lancer OZ Rally- and I was just wondering if anybody knew where I can get a Transmission Bearing Rebuild kit and good brands of the kits.
I know that NSK is a good brand for bearings but what about NSF bearings? anybody know any other bearing brands other than NSK??? and where I can get them?

Im getting my OEM clutch and my pressure plate from the dealer. I called the dealer today and asked about the 2 main shaft bearings and they are about $60$... and also I asked about a release bearing and they said that the release bearing for my car VIN is a hydraulic release bearing and is $128$.
what do you think is best to do?
what do you think is best to do?
on the input shaft one bearing is like $15 and the other is just under $24...the clutch release bearing is $106 but it's the bearing and the slave cylinder in one, so really it's not that bad...
that's from mitsubishiparts.net and they are genuine OEM...i usually don't buy critical aftermarket parts, but like serpentine belts, radiator hoses etc. i have no problem buying aftermarket...
are you going to replace the output shaft bearings as well? why are you doing it in the first place? you need to disassemble the transmission to do it, so do you plan on replacing any synchros?
I would be very careful buying aftermarket bearings, as if the specs are not bang on, you'll do more harm than good, so you'd have to cross reference the part numbers for whatever the bearing is meant to replace...but if you've got an OEM clutch, you must not plan on making a lot of power so why bother with aftermarket bearings in the first place?

your right, your right. I already opened up my Transmission. All the gears look in perfect condition. I will look at the synchros. and yes i will change out the output shaft bearings. The bearings in my Transmission went out so I need to change them. so your saying go OEM dealer on all the bearings right? At first I was thinking of getting a whole new Bearing kit for my Transmission and changing everything.
you can just order all the ones you need from mitsubishiparts.net, much cheaper than a dealer...
you have to pull all the gears off the shaft to inspect/measure/replace the synchro rings and springs...
download ASA, follow the pop-up install directions, and when you run it, just type in your VIN # or select model from the list and start browsing the diagrams, they are the same diagrams as in the service manual
then you just highlight the part you want, you can select multiple parts and it gives you the part number on the main screen...here's a video:
