Replace Rockford Fosgate system?
Replace Rockford Fosgate system?
This might turn into a story but my basic question is can I remove the Fosgate system and replace it with two amps while keeping the speakers and sub?
A couple of months ago I replaced the stock radio with a Nav/GPS but ran into some common problems with having to get the MITO-2 module. Currently with the module working between my NAV and the Fosgate system my sub is not getting enough power to work and the sound is not the same. Which sucks, but I'll live!
Recently my buddy is getting rid of his car and offered me his amps and capacitor out of his car. They are a Rockford Fosgate P3001 and a Pioneer Premier GM-6150F. My question to anyone that can answer is if I remove the guts of the current Fosgate system and use these two amps plus capacitor will it be enough power? Will it be too much power for the speakers?
Thanks! Appreciate all the help.
