for a daily driver why do you need a 4G63...the 4G94 can handle a little bit of boost...

02-07 es/oz lancers have the 4g94. The 02-03 lancers have a returned fuel system (unused fuel returns to the fuel tank) and the 04-07 have a returnless (fuel goes to the fuel rail and never returns to the tank). The 02-03 lancers also have a internal slave on the transmission. The 04-07 have a external slave. Other than cosmetic stuff that's the only difference between the years The interiors are completely the same.

As for a 4g63 you'll need to be able to fab up some parts to make it work as well as swap some transmission parts.

If its going to be a daily driver just drop a used engine in and be done with it....... maybe a new stereo and call it quits. It takes a lot of time to boost and tune which could also give you problems if your car is a DD.

yeah engine swapping to a 63 would require you pulling the engine control harness out and replacing it with one from an Evo, as well as the ECU, on top of the custom engine mount fabrication, and transmission fitting issues that was mentioned already...

How soon do you need the car up and running? That swap will take quite a bit of cash & time. Also, as mentioned before quite a bit of fabricating.

Don't get me wrong if you have the time and money then I say go for it, do what you want, it's your car but it's no Honda so parts are not in abundance and swaps are not as simple.
