Got pulled over yesterday and they told my third brake light was out. I can't find any info on this. Am I stuck with having to take it to the dealer? Do I need to replace the whole unit or is it a few LED's that can go in? any info would be awesome. Thanks!

 

mine was doing the same thing. Just remove it (take out the clips that hold the trunk fabric around it)
un plug the connector going to the third brakelight. you will see two gold prongs in the plug. Just bend those down a bit and it should work again.
