Side Marker Lights

:helpme: I looked in the manual to find the bulb number, and found it. It does however not show how to remove them to replace the bulb. (like it does with the other bulbs) So i took it off to find out that it is a single piece. I was curious to know if anyone had taken it apart or found a way to do it? I tried heating it up and prying it apart but i only maged to place a small crack in it....

if its the small side marker you just pull it out like nothing just pull carefully and to put back just get one side in first then snap the other side

Yes thats to remove the light from the car. I got that part, but once its off, there is no way to access the bulb...its a sealed unit. I was hoping someone would have some insight as how to open it.

lol i recieved so many PMs regarding my side markers but i didnt reply any. the reason is becuase it is not that easy to do and definitely not one of the smartest way to get around the problem. however, this is waht i did, and its workin for me.

like previous posts indicated, its not hard to take the side marker off, once you take it off simple use a ligher to heat up the glue a lil bit (its being glued on so dont try to snap it off, you will just break it.) once the glue is a lil bit soft, take a flat head screwdriver, or something really thin, and go around the glued area to separate the housing from the cover.

once thats accoplished, simply change ur bulb and use a tooth pick to reglue the surface before puttin the cover back in. mine works pretty well now but i dont want to take responsible if ANY of u guys try it n end up breakin your side markers.

so try it at ur own risk!!!

Thank you!
I also tried heating the glue up but i guess i did not wait long enough lol

yea but it also depends on what you use to heat it up. jus think of the glue gun concept. heat = glue melt.
