HOW TO: Install OEM Evo X Projectors on regular 08 '09' Lancers

Hi guys! Some people says the EVOX Projectors are not compatible or need major modification in a lot of forums arround the internet.
NOT TRUE.

Here's the proof.

Here are some pics of the Evo X projectors on my Lancer GTS. They are plug-n-play. They fits perfect with NO modifications and took me
like 40 minutes to install including removing the front bumper.

The OEM HID works perfectly!!!

Opinions are welcome as always.

BAD ***!!!

Just called the Mitsu dealership to ask about prices:

HID Assembly: $800 ea side
Std Assembly: $491 ea side

So, if you could sell the old assembly, you'd be halfway there!

I think I'll wait on this upgrade, lol.

I would not try it myself, wanted HID's for my 09 Ralliart called dealer, the whole reason its so expensive to get them from factory is because, they said the HID's run more power through the Harnese's and the wireing for the headlights and the stock harnese's and wireing for the halogen lights will run it but can eventually burn up and ruin the whole headlight assembley and wireing in the car over time, thats why to do it from factory, they quoted me over 2 grand because they need to order headlamp assembleys new harnese's and rewire the headlamp wireing in the entire car, so I would not try myself give it a while see what happens to peoples cars who did this if after a while its still ok I might give it a try

I don't know about that answer from the dealer. Our Lancers stock bulbs use up 50 watts when you can get aftermarket HIDs that will run off of 35 watts. Maybe stock projectors are different???

anyone else tried this yet to confirm it works... it seems the OP won't answer any of our questions.
