I'm considering installing an intake on my 06 Lancer. I've popped the hood and it all looks like greek to me. I'm used to messing with the Honda motors so this is like a different animal for me. I noticed there's a huge square housing after the rubber hose from the IM then a black housing with some wires. I'm just curious if anyone has any info on how to do this yourself, or if you'd suggest taking it to a shop to have it done

 

Do a search, I'm sure there is a how-to on here. Alternatively check the instructions that come with most intakes.

 

Do you have an automatic or manual. If its automatic, it won't work. You just route the intake down beside the transmission to the front.

 

UGH!!!!!!! Yeah it's an autotragic. You have got to be ****ting me? Did they intentionally make this car impossible to modify??? I'd heard that automatics weren't able to have CAI's. I'm kinda mad now. Oh well...guess its less money I gotta spend.
