Hey guys I'm new to to forums and to the lancer community my catalytic converter bank 1 engine has been on and recently my car wouldn't turn on and if it does it revs at 2,000 rpms then turns off any solutions and also another question does the gts 08 lancer have 1 cat or 2 and which one would be bank 1 ?

 

 

yes sir and I found out which cat it is and I have to get it from the dealer I was wondering If i just single pipe it would i get a check engine and what will i lose either power or torque

 

I had the same code fire on my 08 GTS at ~142K miles. I was wondering if I should swap it out and if yes where I should buy the OEM cat?

 

I did replace my converter back in 2017, how ever the check eng light is still showing he same code today P0420 which i dont know what to do, I changed all the O2 sensors ans still the same one. Now the converter, if you are going to replace it, i used the Magnaflow 282771888176, but does require cutting and welding. Its pretty easy tho, will fitting around the downpipe after you cut it so be easy to weld it back.
