I don't have a pic but I usually have 2 10's in my trunk in a sealed wedge box and am still alright for trunk space.

2 10" subs in a custom box, full screen ensures I can pack as much stuff in on top or around the box without messing up the speakers!

2 15s I have the covers for them so it's like they aren't even there.

Well not for all of Canada! Maybe some regions ha. Not to hijack the thread any but things I never drive without during winter:

- mini extendable shovel in case snow gets too deep, which is often enough
- extendable snow brush with a squeegie on the other side (to save walk-around effort and better glass clearing
- booster cables to help other people or myself out
- medi-winter pack in case of emergency
- strobing emergency flashlight w/ window breakers in case of serious emergency
- extra gloves.

The bat is present for other reasons, she normally resides behind the backseat, her name is betsy. haha.

Back to subs?

This is how I made the box...not the best how-to, but it was good enough for me!

I've had probably ...5 different boxes in my day, all either sealed or bandpass type. As far as size requirements, you can measure and see for sure...but I've not noticed a whole lot of quality in sound difference when I was a little off. To test the size, I used some packing peanuts, filled the box, and then dumped them out into a box and measured the area of the box that was filled with packing peanuts. I can't remember the size, but it was slightly more than the sub asked for. It is the right size for an Alpine TypeR though, and I'll be upgrading to one of those dudes sometime in the near future.

They make stuffing to help a box feel bigger, but, I've generally found box size is not quite as important as the "elitists" make it out to be. We put a JL 12 in that box, my 12, and a crumby pioneer 12 and they all sounded about as good as I'd expect with the money the woofer was worth. In the end, I decided not to buy the w3 woofer, and just stuck with mine...but even the crappy pioneer one sounded really good on all but some of my more "insane" stuff, like dubstep from a friends ipod specifically. Talk about a dang headache....try out Rusko - Jahova if you've got subs, all I can say is "wahwahwahwahwah...."

WOW. that is a nice box nerdbotSKRA.

I have a 12inch box, skateboard, my stock tails, and an empty 10inch sub box and still got decent room. the only bad thing is that i havent secured my 12inch box so it moves around when i drive. haha. ill post pictures later this weekend.
