Hey everyone,

I recently just bought a 2004 lancer ralliart and was surprised when I went to turn on the stereo. It seems that the stock head unit is installed and turns on properly, but no sound comes out through the speakers. After doing some investigating I found out that the previous owner seemed to install an after market amp and head unit, but just seemed to plug in the stock head unit before selling it. In the trunk of the car I located many lose wires that seemed to connect to an after market amp, but now the wires are just residing in the trunk. When I removed the stock head unit it seems like some of the wires in the harness are crimped together and then feed into the trunk. I am just wondering what the best thing to do in order to get the stereo up and running again. I am fine with having the stock stereo installed, but is there a stock amp I need to connect the lose wires in the trunk too? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
