Problem w/Alram

I had a new alarm system installed. The factory alarm was ghey and malfunctioned quite a bit. Anywho I drive my car last night and I realize my dash lights don't work. Any ideas of what that could be? I got it installed at a shop and I am taking it back today, so I'm just looking for preliminary ideas so the guy doesn't gut all my wires.

Sounds like the parking light fuse, domelight fuse or something along those lines is blown. Every alarm I have installed has a fused parking light wire on the alarm.

I guess it all depends on how it was installed and if this person is certified and knows what they're doing.

You shouldn't have blown parking lights unless they are integrated incorrectly... some alarms have selectable parking light output (+ or -)... if your parking lights are negative on the car and you give them a positive... it will blow the fuse... or visa versa.

Hope this helps,

Nick

Def. Check Fuses before you take it in

Check the TAIL LIGHT FUSE!
I know it sounds completely random, but let me tell you a little story.
When I first got my lancer, before I became knowledgeable about car audio, I tried to install my own system, and I shocked myself by not grounding properly. Long story short, my dash lights, driver side tail light, passenger side headlight and high beam, and speakers stopped working. Turned out to be the TAIL LIGHT FUSE, replaced everything is working 100%. I never did get the SRS light to turn off though =[. Maybe its a different fuse in this case, but I guess my main point is to check all fuses, not just the ones you think it might be.
