Get those 17s. The rotors do look pimp but work better than a pimp.

I'm in. I am going too fast now to neglect the brakes. Great idea RRM. They look great and for the money, with pads you can't beat that deal. See in a week or so.

OK, maybe I'm a tard, but if we keep the same stock calipers, how does this make me stop faster? Is it a combo of the better pads + larger rotor? I must be missing something.

I'm just trying to decide to go with new same size slotted rotors + pad, or this kit. HELP!!!

it's all physics

do you ever use a "breaker bar"?

if you have a pivot, the longer away from the pivot point you are, the more torque is generated at the pivot point

so by positioning the caliper further away from the center of the rotor, you are now putting more force into stopping

http://www.lowridermagazine.com/tech/0309lrm_braketech

That's where the experts at Baer Brake Systems (in Phoenix, Arizona) come in. Baer has developed the EradiSpeed Plus-1 upgrade system for the latest generation of GM 1/2-ton trucks and LUVs specifically to compliment larger wheel and tire packages. The simple bolt-on upgrade kit allows you to replace the stock 121/2-inch rotors with massive 14-inch cross-drilled, slotted rotors with zinc-washed surfaces. The kit also includes direct bolt-on replacement caliper brackets to relocate the OE caliper outward to allow the use of the larger diameter rotors. All original mounting hardware is retained.

This increase in rotor diameter increases leverage, braking power and efficiency by 17-percent, much the way that using a fulcrum and longer lever reduces the effort of lifting an object. Thus, EradiSpeed Plus-1 packages offer a return of braking performance, which is otherwise lost with the greater mass of larger wheels and tires (usually more than 30 lbs per corner on 20-inch wheel and tire combinations).

It's very similar to my current setup, only different is mine using 11" slotted steel rotors, it's highly recommended if you feel that you need more braking power....I felt more than 30% improvement during these 2 yrs!! You won't regret! Don't waste money on 4 pots or 6 pots unless your car is powered 250+ whp otherwise it's a waste since this set up can deliver more than enough braking power for sure!

Here is the pic of my set up .... 286mm (11.2") rotors w/brackets & pads, 15" rim is minimum requirement & I am having 16" on my ride

Too bad you have to replace the wheels to get the kit... this will hurt the sales a lot. I would never consider changing the stockers myself... I think they look really good on the car and they don't weigh too much either.
